KIEV, April 16 - Ukraine's pro-Western government coalition was on the verge of collapse on Wednesday after Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko's group suddenly walked out of Parliament, refusing to back an important bill.

The bill, which is would somewhat increase powers of President Viktor Yushchenko and reduce powers of the prime minister, has been earlier agreed between coalition partners. It was approved in the first reading earlier this year.
