KIEV, April 14 – Kiev-based Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) supports the lifting of restrictions on the CIS aviation market, the Yevheniya Satskaya, UIA's press secretary, has told Interfax-Ukraine.
She said that the lifting of restrictions on air communications between Ukraine and Georgia is evidence of this step.
"Cooperation between Ukraine and Georgia is a example of open sky [policies], as the restrictions between our countries on the number of carriers operating on the market … have been lifted. You know that from the start of summer navigation, AeroSvit started flying to Georgia, Dniproavia also announced that it would fly between Dnipropetrovsk and Tbilisi. No one suffered, each airline has passengers. This is a good example, which should be an example for the CIS countries and a stimulus for this route," she said.
