KIEV, April 9 – Consumption of hard spirits in Ukraine has started falling this year in the light of the growing popularity of wine and beer, according to director of the of alcohol and tobacco wholesalers and producers (SOVAT), Volodymyr Demchak.

"There is a fall in consumption of hard spirits, and it is replaced by wine, and mostly by beer," he told Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.
