KIEV, April 7 - Turkiye Garanti Bankasi A.S. (Garanti Bank of Turkey), which partly belongs to U.S. General Electric Corporation, is in talks on the acquisition of Kiev-based Partner Bank.

"A meeting of the founders of Partner Bank Ltd. will take place on April 8, 2008. The agenda includes a decision on the acquisition offer submitted by Turkey's Garanti Bank," the Ukrainian bank said in a press release on Monday.
