KIEV, April 4 - The monetary base in Ukraine in March 2008 grew by 1.6%, to UAH136.4 billion, while monetary stock rose by 4.6%, to UAH416.2 billion, the National Bank of Ukraine reported.

Since the beginning of 2008, Ukraine has seen a 3.9% fall in its monetary base and a 5.1% increase in its monetary stock.
