ZAPORIZHIA, April 2 – UkrAvto, Ukraine’s biggest producer of cars, forecasts that by 2012, up to 1 million new cars will be produced in the country.

"We'll approach 1 million new cars in Ukraine by 2012," UkrAvto deputy chairman, Oleh Papashev, said at a recent press conference in Zaporizhia.

He said that after Ukraine ratifies an agreement on joining the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the number of imported cars will grow, the development of ZAZ, UkrAvto’s main manufacturing facility, will continue.
