KIEV, April 2 – Transit shipments of natural gas across Ukraine to European countries from January through March 2008 grew by 29.5%, or by 7.9 billion cubic meters from the first quarter of 2007, to 34.7 billion cubic meters, Ukrtransgaz's press service reported on Wednesday.

This is a record high in the history of the operation of Ukraine's gas transport system, says the press release.
