KIEV, April 2 – Ukrainian Danube Navigation (Izmail) doubled its tariffs for iron ore transportation as of April 1.
"According to the calculations of Ukrainian Danube Navigation's specialists, the grounds for changing the tariffs include increases in the price of fuel, port duties, the price of ship steel and the strengthening of requirements of new European Union members on non-member countries," the company said on Tuesday.
In particular, the freight tariff for the Izmail-Lom route is EUR9 per ton of cargo, and for the Izmail-Smederevo route – EUR18.5 per ton.
