KIEV, March 28 - President Viktor Yushchenko and Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko on Friday differed significantly on how much had Ukraine owed for Russian natural gas supplies since the beginning of the year.

Yushchenko insisted Ukraine had owed $2 billion for the supplies since January 1, but Tymoshenko had argued the government’s records show the debt at about $900 million.
