KIEV, March 25 – The National Bank of Ukraine and State Tax Administration should intervene when banks provide services at a price lower than cost, according to Dnipropetrovsk-based PrivatBank Chairman Oleksandr Dubilet.
"I'm surprised by the low profits of some banks, as I know the components of their balance. I think that this is an issue of dumping... The NBU and STAU should decide when services are provided at a price lower than cost, and how this cost is calculated. If the business is profitable, taxes should be paid to the state's treasury," he said in the Kommersant Ukraine newspaper.
