KIEV, March 20 - Ukraine's foreign trade deficit was $106.6 million in January 2008 (imported gas not included), the State Statistics Committee said.
Ukraine boosted total exports of goods and services by 14% compared to the previous month, to $3.657 billion in January and increased imports by 1.5%, to $3.763 billion.
Exports to CIS countries were 35.9% of overall exports in January, while exports to Europe was 26.9%, including 25.5% to the European Union, to Asia 26.7%, to America 4.9%, and to Africa 5.5%.
