KIEV, March 17 – Big changes in the hryvnia exchange rate to the U.S. dollar are not expected in the near future, despite the weakening of the U.S. currency to the euro on the foreign exchange markets, according to Anatoliy Shapovalov, first deputy head of the National Bank of Ukraine.
"The range [from UAH4.95 to UAH5.25 to $1] has been approved, and the exchange rate will [vary] in this range. There won't be any strengthening or weakening jumps, at least, taking into account the current situation," he told Interfax-Ukraine.
