KIEV, March 4 – Naftogaz Ukrayiny should raise the charge for the transit of natural gas across Ukraine at least threefold, to $5.1 per 1,000 cubic meters for a distance of hundred kilometers, according to Taras Stetskiv, a member of Parliament's committee on the fuel and energy complex, nuclear policy and nuclear security.
"Ukraine should increase the price for Russian gas transit by at least three times, from $1.70 to $5.10 per 1,000 cubic meters for hundred kilometers. Hungary collects a similar charge per 1,000 cubic meters of gas for 300 kilometers, as raises Ukraine for the transit of the same volume of gas from its eastern to western border," he said.
