KIEV, Feb. 27 – From 92% to 93% of the winter crops in Ukraine are in good or satisfactory condition, Agriculture Minister Yuriy Melnyk said.

The minister also said this year the sowing campaign started two weeks earlier than last year, due to a warm weather spell.

Speaking about preparedness for the spring sowing campaign, he pointed to the need to hold consultations with chemicals producers on the prices of mineral fertilizers.
