KIEV, Feb. 13 – Ukrainian banks' net profit in January amounted to UAH1.3 billion, more than double the UAH600 billion reported the same period last year, the National Bank of Ukraine reported.

The banks' revenues in January 2008 grew by 78% from January 2007, to UAH7.1 billion (UAH 4 billion in January 2007), while spending rose by 76%, to UAH 5.8 billion (UAH3.3 billion), the NBU said.
