KIEV, Jan. 31 - The White Stream project to take Central Asian natural gas to Europe through Azerbaijan, Georgia and Ukraine will not be implemented, said Yuriy Boyko, deputy head of the parliamentary energy and nuclear policy committee.
"The White Stream gas pipeline project, mentioned [Tuesday] in Brussels by Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko is a typical example of the wishful thinking characteristic of the current government team. Ukraine has not done a serious assessment of this project, moreover, the very concept of building White Stream was voiced for the first time" on Tuesday, Boyko said.
