KIEV, Jan. 31 - Diversification of energy supplies to Ukraine is question of political independence, said Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko in an interview broadcast on the EuroNews television channel.

For Ukraine the issue of energy products and the diversification of their supply is a question of political independence and freedom, she said, answering a question in regards to the possibility and necessity of weakening Ukraine's dependence on Russia in the energy sector.
