BRUSSELS, Jan. 29 - EU Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson is intending to visit Kiev to start talks on setting up a free-trade area between Ukraine and the European Union.

"I'd like to announce that I have accepted the invitation by Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko to visit Kiev," he said after a meeting with Tymoshenko in Brussels on Tuesday.
