KIEV, Jan. 29 -President Viktor Yushchenko has given the heads of the National Bank of Ukraine, mortgage providers, commercial banks and the Finance Ministry 10 days to draw up a scheme to optimize the system of crediting Ukrainian citizens under the government’s "Affordable Housing" program.
According to the new program, the state provides one-time financial aid to citizens (amounting to up to 30% of a property's value) as a deposit. Two-thirds of the sum should be directly paid by the customer (with his own and laoned funds). In this context, the head of state paid particular attention to the need for specialized crediting.
