KIEV, Jan. 14 - The refunding of defaulted Soviet-era deposits will not considerably accelerate inflation, according to bankers polled by Interfax-Ukraine.

"The refunding plan significantly differs from pre-election promises, it was adjusted in order not to fuel inflation," Kiev-based NRB Bank President Vyacheslav Yutkin said.
