KIEV, Jan. 11 - Ukraine ranked fifth on the world market of space launch services in 2007, accounting 7.4% of all launches.
Last year Ukraine made five launches - three launches of the Dnepr converted intercontinental ballistic missile, one lof the first Zenit-2M rocket carrying a classified military Cosmos satellite for the Russian Defense Ministry, and one failed launch of Zenit-3SL carrying the Arab telecommunication satellite Thuraya-3 by the Sea Launch project, Interfax-Ukraine learned at the National Space Agency of Ukraine.
