KIEV, Dec. 26 - Ukraine has yet to cooperate with the European Union on the principles of reciprocity, but rather their relations are based on "proportional reciprocity," Ukrainian speaker and former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said.
"We have yet to interact with the European Union on the principles of reciprocity. This is rather difficult. The supremacy of the international law is the principle of reciprocity, and it depends on a large number of factors. That is why I would say that we have proportional reciprocity. The larger the country is, subsequently the less reciprocity from the country can be expected. This is the problem that will not disappear today, tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow," Yatseniuk said in an interview with the Den newspaper published on Wednesday.
