KIEV, Dec. 26 - The new government of Ukraine intends to reduce inflation to single digits in 2008, finance minister Viktor Pinzenyk said at a cabinet meeting Wednesday.

"I hope that we will never again have to live with double-digit inflation," he said.

Experts put Ukraine's 2007 inflation at 15.5-16%.
