KIEV, Dec. 24 – Ukraine’s 2008 draft budget deficit was reduced after the new government made changes incorporating higher natural gas prices and boosting social payments, Finance Minister Viktor Pynzenyk said Monday.

Pynzenyk, who was appointed to the post a week ago, said the ministry’s team had managed to change the draft dramatically and will be ready to submit the draft to the government on Wednesday.
