KIEV, Dec. 5 - Electricity production in Ukraine rose by 1.4% or 2.366 billion kWh year-on-year to 175.999 billion kWh in the first eleven months of 2007, the Fuel and Energy Ministry told Interfax-Ukraine.

Over the 11 months, Ukrainian nuclear power plants increased electricity generation by 2.3%, thermal power plants increased output by 3.4%, municipal thermal power stations increased output by 8.8%, while hydro power plants cut generation by 22.4%.
