KIEV, Dec. 3 - It makes sense for Ukraine to form part of its foreign currency reserves in Russian rubles, as Russia might switch to ruble payments for its exports in the future, according to Deputy Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.
"Certainly, Russia will switch to settlements for its goods in rubles," said Azarov, who also holds the post of finance minister. "As the dollar is falling, it would certainly be beneficial to us to accumulate ruble reserves and pay Russia in rubles," Azarov told journalists.
