KIEV, Nov. 22 - The P/BV coefficient (price/book value) in the sale of Ukrainian banks in 2008 could remain at around four, although in any specific case the size of banks and the quality of their assets would impact the final figure, investment company analysts told Interfax-Ukraine, commenting on the latest purchases of Ukrainian banks.
"This figure will vary from 3.5 to 4.5 depending on the acquired bank. Large and medium banks with multi-branch network and good retail will be expensive, and small will be bought mainly in order to avoid bureaucratic delays when entering the market. The price of them will be less," Foyil Securities analyst Agshin Mirzazade said.
