KIEV, Nov. 21 – Marking the third anniversary of the Orange Revolution that has catapulted him to the presidency, Viktor Yushchenko said Ukraine has been building up democratic institutions and making a good economic progress.

On Nov. 22, 2004, thousands of people flocked to the downtown square in Kiev, Maydan Nezalezhnosti, in a spontaneous protest against sweeping fraud and manipulations at the presidential election.
