ODESSA, Nov. 20 - Ukrtranscontainer, a private company managed by Russia's National Container Company (NCC), under its program to increase capacity has opened the largest container terminal in Ukraine (Illichevsk in Odessa region), which is able to process ocean container ships with a capacity of up to 6,000 TEU, which arrive from Asian ports to the Black Sea.
Ukrtranscontainer Director Anastas Kokkin told Interfax-Ukraine that last week the terminal's capacity is 850,000 TEU per year. The company invested $51 million of its own funds in the upgrade.
