MINSK, Nov. 15 - Ukraine and the European Union are discussing possible supplies of Ukrainian electricity via Belarus, said Ukrainian Ambassador to Belarus Ihor Likhovy.
"A project for creating conditions for the development of the power grids in order to supply Ukrainian electricity to Baltic countries, Poland, and, of course, Belarus, was discussed early in 2007. If the Rivne Nuclear Power Plant-Pinsk-Mikashevichi power line is put into operation, then the Belarusan-Ukrainian integrated power grids will allow an export of up to 9 billion kWt of electricity every year," he said.
