KIEV, Nov. 14 - The Bank of Georgia is considering purchasing another bank in Ukraine following its acquisition of a 98.77% stake in Kiev-based Universal Bank for Development and Partnership in October, according to the head of the supervisory board of the Bank of Georgia, Lado Gurgenidze.
"We are ready to pay three [times the capitalization] of the bank. But an optimal price would be one-and-a-half or two capitals [of the bank]. We expect than in 1-1.5 years we will be able to purchase a bank at this price," Gurgenidze said in an interview with the Kommersant-Ukraine newspaper.
