Iron industry director calls for government action on rail transit

KIEV, Nov. 14 - Ukraine’s exports of iron ore are restricted by the lack of available railroad cars and the problem must be urgently addressed by the government, an industry executive said Wednesday.

The shortage of railroad cars persisted since the beginning of the year, but the problem had worsened in October, Yuriy Putria, a deputy director of UkrRudProm, an association uniting iron ore producers, said.
