Ukraine and Romania agree to Hague settlement of Black Sea dispute
Journal Staff Report

KIEV, Nov. 2 - Ukraine and Romania have agreed to settle the question of the Black Sea shelf solely on the grounds of a ruling by the Hague international court, said Oleksandr Chaly, deputy presidential secretariat head, commenting on the results of Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko's visit to Romania on October 30-31.

"Following the talks held in Bucharest during the official visit of President Viktor Yushchenko, it was announced in public that the two sides will obey any verdict by the court," Chaly said at a press conference in Kiev on Thursday.
