KIEV, Nov. 1 - The national nuclear generating company EnergoAtom, the operator of all operating Ukrainian nuclear power plants, forecasts a 2.4% rise in electricity generation in 2007, to 92.8 billion kWh, the company reported on Wednesday, referring to the company's production directorate.
Production Director Ivan Foltov said at a meeting devoted to the results of the company's activities over the nine months 2007 that EnergoAtom's nuclear plants in January through September increased electricity generation by 4% or by 2.8 billion kWh, to 69.9 kWh, and over-fulfilled the target by 1.7%.
