KIEV, Oct. 29 - The process of Ukraine's admission to the World Trade Organization may be completed in the fall of 2008, said Volodymyr Baluta, Ukraine's official representative at the headquarters of the WTO.

The pronouncement finally gives the lie to earlier assertions by the government that the admission could be effected as soon as this year.
