Shale gas won't be extracted in Donetsk, says separatist leader Journal Staff Report
Shale gas will not be extracted in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), says Denis Pushilin, the DPR Supreme Council chairman. "There are concentrations of gas in the area of Sloviansk. We do not rule out that this is why the U.S. has been so active there. We said at once that extraction of shale gas is dangerous and hazardous, and shale gas won't be extracted on our territory," Pushilin said. "We will do all we can for this."
