KIEV, Oct. 16 - The U.S. Department of Agriculture has improved its forecast for Ukraine's wheat harvest to 13.8 million tons, up from 13.3 million tons forecast in August and 13.5 million tons forecast in September.
The forecast for wheat exports and carry-overs in the coming marketing year (July 2007 - June 2008) remains at 1.5 million tons each and the forecast for domestic consumption grew to 12.2 million tons from 11.9 million tons a month ago.
