MOSCOW, Oct. 4 - Naftogaz Ukrayiny may join Timan Oil & Gas Plc (TOG), a UK company, in developing two oil and gas blocks in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea, a source familiar with the negotiations told Interfax.

TOG plans to retain a 50% stake in the project.

Naftogaz Ukrayiny confirmed its interest in the project in August, but wanted assurance that TOG would be able to secure a drilling platform for work at the Izberbash and Sulak blocks.
