KIEV, Sept. 28 – Defense Minister Anatoliy Hrytsenko, a leading figure in the Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defense bloc, has said that the absence of a reliable and transparent scheme of natural gas imports to Ukraine is the main threat to the country's national security.
"The absence of a reliable, transparent, and diversified scheme of imports of natural gas is, in my opinion, the most important of all the outside threats to the national security of Ukraine. Thus, the position of Ukraine at the negotiations should be well-considered and based on the national interests of the state. The position should be responsible and [one that can succeed at the negotiations]," he said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
