KIEV, Sept. 27 – President Viktor Yushchenko on Thursday ruled out a grand coalition with the Regions Party, adding he believed pro-Western parties would be able to form the government after the Sept. 30 snap vote.
“I would like to say that we have only one option and that is forming the democratic coalition. Period,” Yushchenko said after meeting his pro-Western ally, a former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko. “There will be no other coalitions.”
