KIEV, Sept. 25 - President Viktor Yushchenko has suspended cabinet resolution No. 1,105 of Sept. 5 on the privatization of minority stakes in six regional electricity supply companies in which the state owns controlling stakes.
Yushchenko said that the sale of state stakes in regional electricity supply companies would lead to deficiency in the economic profitability of the national Energy Company of Ukraine, the worsening of its payment ability, and make impossible the fulfillment of the liabilities taken by the holding, in particular to its creditors, in which case the holding would risk bankruptcy.
