BRUSSELS, Sept. 24 – The European Commission said it "has always strictly demonstrated" the need for Ukraine to introduce a non-visa regime for all member states of the European Union, in particular, for Romania and Bulgaria, which is the prerequisite of ratifying a visa facilitation agreement.
A spokesperson for EU Commissioner for External Relations and European Neighborhood Policy Benita Ferrero-Waldner, Christiane Hohmann, gave Ukrainian journalists the EU's official position in Brussels on Friday, commenting on the commissioner's statement that the European Commission wouldn't ratify the visa facilitation agreement until Kiev scraps visas for Romanians and Bulgarians.
