KIEV, Sept. 22 – The Central Election Commission, dominated by loyalists of Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych, late Friday accused President Viktor Yushchenko of illegally campaigning for his party ahead of the Sept. 30 election.

The CEC reacted to a rally on Sept. 15 in Lviv when Yushchenko had called on his supporters to vote for “his team.” The president has been touring Ukraine for the past two weeks urging people to turn out for the vote.
