RIVNE, Sept. 17 – Defense Minister Anatoliy Hrytsenko says the Ukrainian defense industry could carry out work worth UAH4 billion in 2008 related to the production of new weapons and modernizing weapons of the armed forces.

"Our defense industry has the technological capacity and staff to produce new [military] equipment in 2008 or upgrade old equipment under current programs to a volume of up to UAH 4 billion," Hrytsenko told the press in Rivne.
