MOSCOW, Sept. 11 - Ukraine was the leading CIS country in terms of the aggregate share of insurance premiums in the country's GDP in 2006, according to a ssurvey prepared by Interfax-CEA.
"One of the most important indicators of the insurance industry development, the aggregate share of insurance premiums in the country's GDP, in 2006, just like the year before, was the highest in Ukraine - 2.6%, while in Russia it was 2.26%. The lowest share was in Kyrgyzstan - 0.13%," Anzhela Dolgopolova, author of the survey, reported.
