KIEV, Sept. 10 – The national nuclear generating company EnergoAtom announced it will allocate UAH252 million of a credit raised from Alfa-Bank to create a nuclear fuel reserve and realization of a comprehensive program on prolongation of exploitation terms of reactors at Ukrainian nuclear power plants.

Annual uranium needs of Ukrainian nuclear plants are 2,400 tons, while at present Ukraine produces only 800 tons of uranium per year.
