KIEV, Sept. 7 – Ukraine's inflation slowed down in August to 0.6%, from 1.4% in July and 2.2% in June.
The January-through-August inflation rate was 6.2%, the State Statistics Committee reported.
In August foods grew in price by 0.9% (2.1% in July), prices of non-foods rose by 0.3% (0.1%), while tariffs on services increased by 0.5% (0.7%). Since the beginning of the year, the growth has been 9.1%, 0.7% and 6.4%, respectively.
