KIEV, Sept. 6 – President Viktor Yushchenko on Thursday signed a decree suspending from duty two ministers in the government of Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych, citing growing concerns over national security.
The decree suspends Emergency Situations Minister Nestor Shufrych and Transportation and Communications Minister Mykola Rudkovskiy. Both were accused of “unprofessional” management that resulted in a number of industrial accidents over the past nine months.
