KIEV, Aug. 31 – The energy sector in Ukraine is being run not as a business but as part of the state infrastructure and a source of budget revenue, according to a joint study conducted by over 40 leading analysts of the energy sector in Russia, Ukraine and Europe.
Analysts said the growth in the price of energy on the international market would lead to changes in the energy sector of Ukraine. In particular, the consumption of the country's own resources would grow; and stimuli to use alternative and recommenced energy sources and energy-saving technologies would appear.
