KIEV, Aug. 31 - The government has removed from the charter capital of the Energy Company of Ukraine blocking stakes in six regional power supply companies over which the state had veto power over privatization.

The Cabinet decided Thursday to remove shares in six regional utilities in which the state still owns 25% from the national company, the head of the State Property Fund, Valentyna Semeniuk said.
